My name is Amber Griffin, lead makeup artist for Amber Makeup Design and Amber Griffin Artistry. I consider myself incredibly lucky to spend the last 15 years doing what I love to do...creating an artful experience for my clients bringing their innate beauty outward and showing the world!
I love enhancing your natural beauty by customizing everything from foundation and lipstick to various sculpting colors uniquely tailored for you. Be it Evening/Glamor looks or Natural No-Makeup looks, I strive to bring out your unique style to make you feel like the Star You Are!
Born in a small town in West Texas, I started my makeup career at the age of six when I accidentally discovered my Grandmother’s bright pink lipstick kept in a sparkly gold case. Then there was her glorious makeup drawer filled with a rainbow of eyeshadows and blushes...Oh the makeovers that ensued!
Years later, after studying fine art and fashion (and being the adventurous soul that I am) packed everything I owned into my little green Honda Civic and drove to Hollywood. I started my professional career in 2000 after graduating from the prestigious Make Up Designory in Los Angeles, California. I have worked on jobs ranging from books, magazines, film and TV to music videos and red carpet events seen all over the world. I have all kinds of fun stories; remind me to tell you later about the night I spend in the desert with pyrotechnics and panthers!
As a Texas native, I have returned to my roots making Austin my new home. With over 15 years of experience in the wide range of Beauty & Fashion, I am focusing my skills into weddings because I believe that weddings are the NEW form of fashion and beauty. Wedding makeup has a rich history and a bright future. I want You to feel like the Star that you are on your special day.
I believe that everyone has a unique beauty within them and I absolutely love bringing that out. I believe that makeup is a form of expression that enhances your inner Beauty & Style. “Let the beauty inside you be what defines you.”
And leave the rest to me...
